About the Role
AKU Lawyers is looking for a qualified and motivated Lawyer to join our team in Lae. The person we are looking for must have at least two years of experience in handling litigation cases. This role requires someone who can manage cases from start to finish, give sound legal advice, and represent clients in court with confidence and professionalism.
The Lawyer will work closely with clients, prepare legal documents, and provide legal support in both court and out-of-court matters. The position is mainly office-based in Lae but offers some flexibility to work remotely when appropriate.
The successful candidate must be able to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple cases at the same time. We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping people, committed to justice, and has a strong sense of responsibility in their work.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
Admitted to practice law in Papua New Guinea.
Minimum of 2 years proven experience in litigation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
Strong ethics, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Must be based in Lae or willing to relocate.
